Course Introduction

Welcome to this comprehensive clinical training course focused on critical procedures in modern dental implantology and orthodontics. This course is designed for dental professionals seeking to refine their practical skills and deepen their understanding of implant restoration, surgical exposure, and aligner-based treatment planning.

We begin with implant crown restoration, guiding participants through the clinical workflow from impression taking to prosthetic delivery. Emphasis will be placed on both screw-retained and cement-retained options, occlusal considerations, soft tissue management, and long-term maintenance.

Next, the course covers implant exposure techniques, highlighting the timing and methods for uncovering implants post-osseointegration. Participants will learn soft tissue manipulation strategies to optimize emergence profiles and ensure esthetic outcomes, especially in the anterior region.

Finally, an introduction to Smartee Aligners will be provided. As a leading clear aligner system, Smartee offers digital treatment solutions for a wide range of malocclusions. This section will explore the aligner system’s principles, case selection, treatment planning, and integration with implant cases where applicable.

By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical insights necessary to deliver high-quality, interdisciplinary care in their dental practice.

Course Overview:

Replacing missing teeth is rarely as simple as filling a gap.

Following tooth loss, adjacent teeth often tilt, drift, or rotate, while opposing
teeth may over-erupt into the space. These changes can significantly
complicate restorative treatment and disrupt occlusal harmony, aesthetics, and
long-term stability.

This course is designed to give clinicians a structured, practical approach to
assessing and managing edentulous spaces. From simple to complex cases,
you will gain the confidence to diagnose, plan, and present treatment options
tailored to each individual patient.

Course Aim

This course aims to equip clinicians with the knowledge and confidence to:

  • Assess edentulous spaces comprehensively
  • Understand the biological and mechanical consequences of tooth loss
  • Formulate predictable, patient-centred treatment plans
  • Select the most appropriate option: removable, fixed, implant, or no
    treatment.

What Makes This Course Different

  • Delivered in a real clinical environment
  • Taught by experienced clinicians actively practising advanced dentistry
  • Focused on real-world decision-making, not just theory
  • Includes practical insights and clinical tips rarely taught in standard courses
